16th SDEWES conference was held 10-15 October 2021 in Dubrovnik, Croatia and it has brought together around 630 scientists, researchers, and experts in the field of sustainable development from 58 countries.
We have listened to 675 oral presentations, attended 13 special sessions and several side events, and had the pleasure of listening to 7 invited lectures and 1 panel given by some of the most distinguished experts in the field.
We enjoyed the company of 223 participants in person, who presented 219 papers. We hope you were as happy as we were as we finally had the chance to meet, mingle and share new ideas in person.
This year we had a novelty within the onsite conferencing, the Project Exchange Event which aroused a lot of interest. 17 projects were presented, and many were interested in hearing about them.
