Floating Farm

Floating Farm (Rotterdam, the Netherlands) is an urban farm that produces healthy food products near to its consumers, reducing food miles and enhancing food quality. Based in the port of Rotterdam, Floating Farm is a transparent, educational, sustainable and iconic part of the city, and is the first dairy farm on water. By building on water, the farm is adaptive to climate change, sea level rise, increased soil temperature, and drought. Floating Farm designs, develops and operates farms on the water, researching ways to be as self sufficeint as possible on water.
