Floating Farm Rotterdam is a circular floating farm in the port of Rotterdam and consists of a dairy farm, milk factory and laboratory. The farm demonstrates a unique climate adaptive concept that makes it possible to grow not only vegetables and crops but also to provide dairy, meat and eggs for human consumption. Enabling these possibilities Floating Farm Rotterdam provides agriculture businesses with a solution to keep feeding populations in a changing world.
Floating Farm Rotterdam joined the WaterMining project 2 years ago with the aim of exploring the benefits of implementing the Living Lab methodology. With Floating Farm Rotterdam having a similar view on the user-centred approach as a Living Lab the Floating Farm Rotterdam is close to being a full Living Lab.
