Circular economy practices applied in the EU

The WATER-MINING project is a research and innovation project aimed at the development of energy-efficient technologies for the management of wastewater from urban and industrial areas and from desalination plants, while promoting the extraction of useful materials from these processes. The project, coordinated by the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands, involves public and private sector partners from across the EU.

From Cyprus, the Larnaca Sewerage Council participates. The project includes pilot projects in Cyprus, as well as Spain, Portugal, Italy and the Netherlands.
