The European Sustainable Phosphorus Conference 2024 in Lleida, Spain, provides a distinct forum for experts and stakeholders to collaborate, exchange insights, and influence the trajectory of sustainable phosphorus management in the Mediterranean. By addressing four focal areas – organic farming, water recycling, eutrophication and phosphorus budgeting, and the transition to renewable energy – the conference aims to catalyze positive transformations and contribute to a more sustainable future for the region and beyond. Complementing insights from the private sector and cutting-edge research will be site visits to biorefinery pilots in the area.
