02 Apr Spotlight at the Water Market Europe 2024 event
The Water Market Europe event, co-organised with WATER-MINING, held a two-day session on 26-27 March with a number of insights and collaborative discussions around the theme of Mining Water and Resources from Desalination Brines, Urban and Industrial Wastewater Streams.
Dimitris Xevgenos, Assistant Professor at the Technology, Policy and Management Faculty of TU Delft, took the floor to deliver an in-depth overview of the WATER-MINING project. His presentation shed light on the significant progress of SEA-MINING and NEREDA Case Studies 2 and 3, illuminating their potential for social embedding and market uptake in Cyprus.
In addition, Dimitris introduced the effort of the CIRSEAU cluster to the public. This collaborative cluster sees WATER-MINING joining forces with five sister projects, demonstrating the tangible benefits and feasibility of a circular water economy.
This year’s Water Market Europe event has set the bar high, with a high number of participants and B2B meetings organised to offer fruitful exchanges of ideas and connections for future collaborations.
